The Adult Services program is the longest established program at Sterling Area Services. Originally, it was created when SAS was designated to provide services to developmentally disabled individuals that primarily had histories of long-term institutionalization. In more recent years this has changed to include services for individuals that live with their natural families.
Individuals in the adult program receive the following services: Housing and Home Support, Community Support, Transportation, Respite, Case Management, Employment, Clinical, Crisis and Personal Care.
Currently the adult program has individuals in 5 counties. SAS prides itself on the quality of services provided, as well as our ability to individually design services to meet the unique needs of each client we support. Sterling Area Services recognizes that the home provider, community support worker, guardian and other team members each play a role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of services provided to each individual.
The Adult Services Program is run by Associate Director Marilyn
Carter. For more information about these services please contact Marilyn Carter at (802) 888-7602 or by email at MarilynC@sterlingarea.com.
